Men, Take a Look at Waxing
>
Along with the options for body hair removal, waxing occupies a special place in the men’s grooming arsenal. It is a method that has years and years of use, and for all of this time it has been closely related to women; now is getting more popular with men.
Waxing is a very simple procedure. First you spread hot wax on the area that unwanted hair is located, then you put a trip of cloth or a special material on top, rubbing it until the wax dries off enough. Now comes the painful part: you need to rip off the cloth and wax with a single pull.
Ouch! Now, why would any person on Earth would want to wax if they can just shave? Well, in the end, and past the pain, waxing is much more convenient that shaving: it leaves a natural smooth skin, lasts up to 8 weeks, and hair will become thinner, thus making it easier to remove in the future.
The most popular areas for waxing among men are the back, the back of the neck, eyebrows, chest, legs, toes, knuckles, and most recently – believe it or not – bikini area.
Yes, you read that right, the infamous Brazilian bikini wax is getting popular, and some men even pay up to $100 to have theirs perfectly done at a spa. Why? Men who do this say it gives a cleaner feel and an increased sex appeal. Spas that give this type of waxing just shave the area around, not the family jewels, and they do good. I would say don’t put a drop of wax on your testicles!
You have 3 options for waxing: At a spa, with an at-home esthetician or using a do-it-yourself kit. I would not recommend a DIY kit, but if you MUST, keep this advice close:
-Hairs should be trimmed 10mm maximum and 5 mm minimum
-Do not put anything on the area to wax (creams, lotions, deodorants, etc).
-Don’t try bikini waxing on your own, at least the first time.
As you wax often, you will see the hair will grow thinner and at longer intervals, but still will grow, making waxing a great option for people who do not want to get rid of hair forever. And remember, if you can endure the pain, it will be alright.
