Men-U definitely proved that size does not matter. By this of course I mean the size of their product, the small tubes seem like they will last you only 2 uses, but they actually are enough for 20 even 30 uses! This is great because they are easy to carry (airplane safe).
Thanks to our friends over at M. Maintenance for Men we received several products to review (check out the list)
So first up is Men-U. I received 3 of their products, Men-U Healthy Facial Wash, Men-U Shave Cream and Men-U Facial Moisturizer Lift. These products where overall ok but I wish Men-U had an face scrub because it would have made the set complete in my view.
The instructions said to use the face wash after shaving, however I know it is important to first use the face wash and then shave so it used it that way. The face wash comes in a small 0.5 fl oz tube but it contains up to 30 washes! It develops a nice foam and you only need to use a pea size amount. It also, like the other Men-U products, has a mint smell to it. During my face wash it got into my eyes a bit and was a little annoying but nothing life threatning. However, the mint smell as great after the wash and my face felt smooth and refreshed by the mint. I also noticed, after using it for about a week, that it controls acne very well and hardly noticed any acne breakouts.
I think that out of the 3 products, the shaving cream was the best. FHM magazine thinks alike because they picked the Men-U Shaving Cream winner of 2005 Men’s Health Grooming Award for Best Shave Cream. It has a very nice lather and truly gives you a close, smooth shave you can feel. You can use it the your shaving brush as well. I really like the lather it gave and again the mint scent. No irritation and no cuts. This is a great shaving cream for men who use a shaving brush and want a rich lather. Again this small powerful tube contains up to 20 shaves.
Last up is the Facial Moisturizer Lift. Though it claims to be non-greasy, I can’t say this is the best moisturizing lotion. I did find it to be a bit greasy and it took a while to dry completely. Once dry the product works great, once again it as a mint smell which is very nice, and once dry your skin feels smooth. The great thing about this product is that it is a shave balm and moisturizer in one. But it doesn’t dry quickly so I wouldn’t recommend this if you have greasy skin, it’s perfect if you have normal to dry skin.
