Continuing on our review on the products sent to us by M. Maintenance for Men, I reviewed the Urth Face Wash they sent.

Men-U definitely proved that size does not matter. By this of course I mean the size of their product, the small tubes seem like they will last you only 2 uses, but they actually are enough for 20 even 30 uses! This is great because they are easy to carry (airplane safe).

Thanks to our friends over at M. Maintenance for Men we received several products to review (check out the list)

So first up is Men-U. I received 3 of their products, Men-U Healthy Facial Wash, Men-U Shave Cream and Men-U Facial Moisturizer Lift. These products where overall ok but I wish Men-U had an face scrub because it would have made the set complete in my view. Read the rest of this entry »

I feel like it’s my birthday again, I just received a package from our friends at M. Maintenance for Men and it’s filled with an assortment of men skin care products that I am so eager to test! There is a bunch, and testing each of them will take a while and at least we’re 2 so Paolo and I will have a great time testing and reviewing these products for all of you. It’s freezing, period. And this cold weather isn’t great for a guys skin either. I’m sure most of you have experienced dry skin by now and this is really common this time of year. So here’s the secret to stop it: Moisturize.

Of course you can’t solve this by just splashing on moisturizing lotion. In order to keep you face from drying up this winter you have to keep a daily skin care plan. So let’s brake it up and make it nice and simple:

Daily Face Wash Plan:

1. Wash your face with a Daily Face Wash

2. 2-3 times a week use a Facial Scrub (especially before shaving)

3. At the very end (after the above or shaving) Apply some Moisturizing Lotion.

Now that’s not complicated is it? Just these simple steps will take you about 5 minutes in the bathroom and heck if a couple of minutes means I’m not going to have dry, flaky skin then count me in.

I’ve been using this method all winter with excellent results. I’ve been using the Men Science products (see our Men Science Product Review) But there are a ton of other men skin care products that you can use to maintain a daily face wash plan, and all of these come with great moisturizers that dry quick and don’t make your skin oily.

Sadly, me aMENity Gel Face Cleanser was running out so I decided it was time to review a different face wash for our readers.

I ended up choosing the Skin Clearing Face Wash by Neutrogena for Men. The fact that it was “oil-free” caught my attention and that it said it wouldn’t leave the skin to dry and help reduce acne as well.

I recommend you use this face wash daily durring or after your shower. As soon as I applied it on my face I felt a tingling and kind of mint sensation on my face, it wasn’t a stinging sensation at all, just more of a tingle. I washed it off and damped my face dry with a face clothe. And I must stress DAMP your face dry, do NOT rub the towel on your face, that will only harm your facial skin and lessen the benefits of your face wash. In less than a week I saw a very noticible diminish in my acne and I love the way my face feels after using the face wash, fresh, clean and awake.

The Neutrogena Face Wash is also great for guys with sensitive skin or men with oily skin as well. Neutrogena for Men has great products, I haven’t tried them out all by after my good experience with the face wash, I’m eager to try the rest of their mens skin care products.
