Today's society focus on health and beauty, has made it possible that cosmetics are not only available to women, but to men as well. Everyday more and more men are conscious that having the right look is a great advantage in most walks of life, and men cosmetics are a great help to look their best.
Men are wearing make up now. You can just walk to a mall, and find in the cosmetics stand a section just for men. Of course this brings a large discussion to the table, in special regarding to manhood. Is it manly to use make up? Do men need to look cute? Whether you agree or disagree, men cosmetics are here. And it seems they are here to stay, in fact if you set aside manliness issues you have to admit they can help you look better.
Men Cosmetics don't look to much different from women's cosmetics. They look the same actually, it seems that it has to do more with packaging and marketing; some cosmetics are even unisex and you can find a variety of products out there. to name a few: face powder, foundations, cover sticks, blush, eye pencils and brushes.
Putting some time on the mirror
As any woman can tell you, looking your best takes time when using cosmetics. You inevitably will spend more time retouching your face with men cosmetics, thus making you more conscious of your looks. If you're going to use men cosmetics - be prepared for that.
The main rule when applying cosmetics is "keep it natural" or as some might say "less is more". Remember that girl you saw who looked like a prostitute because of the heavy make up?. Well, you could actually end up looking like a prostitute also (and I don't mean a male prostitute), so try your best to apply the make up in a natural way, that in the end enhances your attributes while hiding your imperfections. Men cosmetics must blend with your skin; one sign you're doing it wrong, is when you see marks of make up on your face. Like a line for example.
If you're thinking about using male cosmetics, you should understand that is a complete change of lifestyle. Some might call it "the price of beauty", because you will have to be more careful with your face, and more conscious of any evidence of make up error. But setting that aside it can help you a lot in your quest for skin beauty. Also, I cannot stress enough the importance of reading the labels. Some products may contain chemicals harmful to your type of skin, so please be careful about that.
